There are many methods of acupuncture needles, thick needle therapy is one of them, and its operation methods are mainly as follows:
1. Into the needle
(1) Clamping the needle method: the lower end of the needle is clamped by the thumb and index fingers of the hand, exposing the needle tip for 4 to 5 minutes, aiming at the acupoints, and piercing people quickly. Apply to rich muscles.
(2) Clamping needle method: Clamp the needle body with the thumb and middle finger of the pricking hand, press the tail of the needle with the index finger, and puncture quickly. This method applies to the back.
(3) Twisted needle method: Hold the needle body with a pusher, puncture the handle of the needle while twisting and press down to puncture. This method is suitable for the abdomen with soft skin.
2. After the thick needle is inserted into the needle, there is generally a strong feeling. If strong stimulation is needed, it can be lifted and inserted 6 to 7 times. It is better for those who have a sense of discharge after acupuncture, but it is not suitable for children to lift too much. If it is used in patients with muscle atrophy, the curling muscle lifting method can be used, that is, after the needle is pierced, the needle body is twisted in one direction to the degree that it does not move. At this time, the muscle fiber has entangled the needle body, and then lifted and inserted several times. Lifting and inserting 2 to 3 times is a moderate stimulation, leaving the needle without lifting and inserting is a weak stimulation.
3. The needle can be discharged after the needle is discharged to achieve the purpose of acupuncture. When the needle is discharged, the needle hole should be rubbed with a squeezed alcohol cotton ball to avoid bleeding. It is not necessary to press for the actual heat syndrome, and the effect is better if it releases a small amount of blood.
4. The principle of acupuncture Because the thick needle body is thick and irritating, acupuncture methods should be used flexibly according to the patient's physical condition, condition, and location. Deep thorns should be applied to the bulging muscles, such as the buttocks; shallow punctures or punctures along the skin on the shallow and deep parts of the muscles, such as the head, neck, back, chest and abdomen. For various types of paralysis, paralysis, and acute diseases, strong stimulation should be used without needle retention. For chronic diseases, it is advisable to keep the needle without increasing stimulation; for those with slow nerve response, strong stimulation is recommended; for those with sensitive nerves, weak stimulation is recommended, and the needle can be removed by quick piercing.
5. Needle retention The needles at the Shu point on the back are generally retained for 1-2 hours. For some diseases, the needles can also be retained for 3 to 4 hours or longer. Others should use strong stimulation without leaving a needle.
6. The course of treatment is acupuncture 1 time a day, 10 times is 1 course of treatment, 2 courses of treatment are rested for 3 days.
